Compliance with dcmp.org guidelines for captioning

Whenever possible we follow the current guidelines for all Transcription Services:
Whenever captions are used they should (1) be in sync with the audio (2) be an accurate representation of the spoke words; (3) be the same as or equivalent in its content; and finally (4) be readily accessible to users who need to access them.
Perhaps the most important thing about captions is that they should be presented in a format that it easy to read. In summary captions should adhere to the following:

• Captions should be visible long enough to be read.
• They should span no more than two lines.
• Captions need to be in sync with the spoken words.
• Speakers should be clearly identified.
• Punctuation should be used to clarify meaning.
• Spelling needs to be correct throughout.
• Sound effects should be added to aid understanding.
• Slang and regional dialect is preserved.
